ONE OR TWO DAY KNIFE FORGING WORKSHOPS

No previous experience necessary. Individual tuition,one to one or max 2 participants per class if booked together.

Cost includes, Materials ,Consumables, Safety equipment, lunch & refreshments. Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn.


ONE DAY WORKSHOP PROGRAMME. Make an eating knife or small seax using a charcoal forge.Take home finished knife and shaped leather for you to sew scabbard.

Starting with a short demonstration and a talk on hammer technique and safety. Followed by blade forging. Lunch whilst blade is annealing. After lunch break, finishing of blade and handle fitting.

ONE DAY COURSE £120 (£60 deposit on confirmation, balance on arrival.)
TWO DAY COURSE £200 (£100 deposit on confirmation, )


ALSO AVAILABLE ONE DAY WORKSHOP.
Forge your own Viking Scramasax blade similar to sample picture,
with or without Runic symbols.Handle material included for you
to finish at home.

£120 per day (£60 deposit on confirmation, balance on arrival.)



TWO DAY WORKSHOP PROGRAMME.Make a bespoke Bushcraft style knife and sheath.

Starting with demonstration and talks as for one day programme. Over the 2 days you will be forging, profiling, tempering and polishing blade, fitting and shaping handle (various woods or antler available.) wet forming & stitching veg tan leather sheath.

£200.00 for 2 days.(£100 deposit, balance on arrival) .Bed and breakfast or campsites available locally.

ONE DAY TOOL MAKING COURSE .
Hand forge a green woodworking tool of your choice .For example Adze, small Axe, Drawknife , Crook / Spoon knife or Froe.

Course includes forging, tempering, sharpening and handle fitting.

ONE DAY COURSE £150-00.
